The guy you mention in the text is a prime example of someone who cloaks his own confusion in the guise of spirituality. It's widespread. The simple rule remains: if it creates an advantage, any disguise and any label is welcome. But that’s not truth. (If you’re interested: here’s a bit more about the polyamory game: https://vigorcalma.substack.com/p/polyamory )

Good points, and, yes, I do actually sage my home! And I do feel it helps. They do it at the lodge I attend, and it is powerful and cleansing ceremony there, so I do it at my home in the same way.

TOP:

"If you have come to "spirituality" because you think it is cool or you think cool people are spiritual and you want to play dress up and create a false identity to fit in to what you think is "spiritual", you will be in for a very rude awakening.

You will also be in for a rude awakening if you pedestalize leaders or teachers or think that grown adults are not responsible for themselves and their choices.

You should not be looking at the "influence" you should be looking at why you are "influenced".

Balancing cultural critique with Big Oneness Truth is tricky. On the one hand, it feels necessary to name inauthenticity, superficiality, etc. in service to Love. On the other, What Is is What Is: here are humans fumbling through life and consciousness with the tools and experiences available and afforded to them, just like you and I and Kirby the Plumber.

I don't say this in support or defense of Aubrey Marcus, it's just that he's one microbial vessel of awareness whose experiences and expression are as perfectly valid as your wish for his partner to experience deep devotional love. As well as whatever she's experiencing.

Totally. It doesn’t sound like you are very familiar with my work or the positions I hold but I always hold a yes and. I’m frankly more disturbed by the people who feel VIOLATED by him being himself because they were “influenced”.

AND I will always frame things through the lens of my teachings for women which is Divine Union.

Thank you for this. So much deep and incredible food for thought, and many things I had and fully considered and I'm grateful to be put face to face with. What an absolutely fantastic line: cultivating a sealed field with one partner. Love that

Mmm yeah it has been such a beautiful blessing in my own life. I am fortunate to have an incredible partner to share that with.

Can one realize/express Divine Union without committing to a monogamous relationship?

Expand full comment
Perri Chase's avatar

That’s a great question. I would say you can experience it, but for it to be an actualization would require a sealed field.

The sealing, would that be conscious intention? Visualization? Or do you mean something like ceremonial magic? All of the above? 🤔😊

Absolutely conscious. Marriage can accomplish this. But also energetic practice, no leaks.

So that podcast stayed on my mind and I found it deeply disturbing. Essentially they met with this younger woman, drugged her, and now he's impregnating both of them.

hmm. I didn't watch the whole thing but I don't like to speak about women like they do not have agency. I believe both of these women are in full choice. Will they regret that choice? perhaps. But no one did anything to anyone here.
